Pollution Technology Leads to Cheaper Gas

Its hard to believe it now, but back in the seventies cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego had air quality of such a low standard as to be compromising the health of their residents. Children in particular were being diagnosed with lung diseases and asthma.

The Californian Government recognized that the key pollutant in its cities was vehicle exhaust emissions.
